There is something so beautiful about fresh flowers in your hair, and nothing is a classic as a gardenia. It has the complete Billie Holiday glamour., and good number of our brides request it.

But the reality is, a gardenia only stays fresh for so long, they soon turn yellow and limp and not at all glamorous.

So, what is the solution? Many would say silk gardenias would be the way to go. Personally, I have no problem with a good quality faux flower, but the silk gardenias I have seen don't seem to capture the lovely density of a gardenia petal.

I am, however, loving this clay gardenia from Etsy seller dkdesignshawaii.

It looks so lifelike!

  1. Thank you for featuring my clay gardenia hair flower. It's by far my most popular seller! No more browning petals in wedding photos. I love fresh gardenias, but in pictures you want them to look just as fresh as they were when they were picked. I can also add a hint of gardenia scent for the bride that wants that added touch of realness!
